Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), indicated a longer wait for MacBook Pro models with OLED displays during a recent Bloomberg Intelligence webinar on display technology. According to Young, Apple may not introduce these laptops until 2026 or 2027, in contrast to earlier rumors that stated the OLED MacBook may make its debut as early as the next year, possibly with the MacBook Air. The launch date for Apple's OLED laptops appears to have been severely delayed.

The CEO of the exploration company estimates that it could take many times for this procedure to be completed and that an OLED MacBook Pro model will not probably be released until as late as 2027.

An earlier rumor said that Apple might introduce a new MacBook Air model in early 2024 that would use "tandem stack" OLED technology. With this development, OLED screens were meant to last longer, have more brightness, and use less electricity. It had been anticipated that MacBook Pro models would maintain their mini-LED displays at this time, indicating a difference in Apple's approach to display technology between the MacBook Air and the Pro series.

Ross Young hoped for the release of a new MacBook Air with an OLED display and the appearance of two iPad Pro models with OLED displays in the 11- inch and 12.9- inch sizes in December.
